Albanian Centre for Quality Journalism - Stakeholders

Financially supported by US Embassy in Tirana through the US State Department’s Alumni Office Program, the Albanian Center for Quality Journalism aims to improve professional journalism standards in the country, paying particular attention to trainings for young students. Under this initiative, the contents of the website (both in English and Albanian) are produced and edited by the students of the Investigative Journalism Laboratory project, who are responsible for the policy and the editorial line.

School of Journalism and Public Relations - Stakeholders

The School of Journalism and Public Relations from Skopje  is the first and only institution in Macedonia that provides education to journalism and public relations specialists, successfully combining theory and practice. At the School there are two graduate courses: journalism and corporate communications and public relations. The division into two courses that, although complementary and alike, has the purpose of dividing and separately developing both professions that are on two opposite ends of information and communication.

MED media education - Associazione Italiana per l’Educazione ai Media e alla Comunicazione - Stakeholders

The Italian Association for Media Education (MED) is a non-profit organization established in 1996 in Rome by a group of university professors, school teachers and media professionals in order to promote research, study and experimentation in the field of media education. One of the main initiatives organized by the Association since 1996 is the Summer School in Corvara (South Tyrol), aiming at training media educators, both at theoretical and practical level.

The School of Communication and Media, n.o. (SKAMBA) is a research establishment founded in Slovakia in 2008. SKAMBA´s mission is to provide high quality in-depth research on issues related to communication and media, as well as courses, seminars and lectures mainly related to the dissemination of research results.
It focuses particularly on the areas of mass media communication and the functions and interactions of the media in a liberal democracy.

It closely cooperates with the Slovak Section of the Association of European Journalists and took place to research projects such as MEDIADEM and ANTICORRP .

Transitions On Line (TOL) is a nonprofit organization established in 1999 to strengthen quality and independence of news media in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe by offering media training programs and publishing Transitions Online  magazine.

Mediacentar Sarajevo - Stakeholders

Mediacentar Sarajevo supports the development of independent and professional journalism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Over time, activities have been expanded to include:

  • training programmes;
  • publishing;
  • media research;
  • PR training and consulting services;
  • AV production;
  • event management;

 An integral part of Mediacentar is Infobiro , an archive of print media from B-H and the former Yugoslavia and a library containing literature on mass media. Mediacentar also publish a regional journal on culture and literature called Sarajevske Sveske (Sarajevo Notebooks) . Mediacentar was founded by Open Society Fund of B-H in 1995 in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. In 2000 it was registered as a separate education and research institution owned by Open Society Fund of B-H.
